Albert Marquis Hospitality Group is seeking a dedicated Assistant Restaurant Manager to support daily front-of-house operations across our restaurant group. With concepts ranging from modern American cuisine (Table 128) to Mediterranean-inspired wood-fired dining (Hugo’s Wood-Fired Kitchen), this role is ideal for a hospitality professional eager to grow into leadership while ensuring exceptional guest service.

About Us

Albert Marquis Hospitality Group operates two acclaimed restaurants in Des Moines:

• Table 128 – A modern American restaurant located in Gray’s Landing, featuring seasonal menus, a Saturday Chef’s Tasting Menu, and a curated wine program.
• Hugo’s Wood-Fired Kitchen – A Mediterranean-inspired concept with artisan pizzas, small plates, and entrées cooked in a wood-fired oven, drawing influence from Italy, Lebanon, and Turkey.

Both restaurants are locally owned, chef-driven, and committed to creating memorable guest experiences through excellent service and scratch-made cuisine.

Responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager and leadership team in day-to-day FOH operations
• Supervise and assist FOH staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction
• Help with hiring, training, and ongoing development of team members
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, and shift leadership
• Respond to guest feedback with professionalism and care
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Step into a leadership role when the Restaurant Manager is off-site

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Guest-focused, hands-on approach to operations
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
