Job Title: Kitchen Staff
Location: New Braunfels Coffee, 489 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, TX
Reports To: Team Lead

Days: Monday through Thursday

$12 to $15 an hour + tips

Order Processing

· Review and prepare food tickets as they come in—whether dine-in or to-go.

· Fulfill breakfast and lunch orders according to café recipes and portion sizes.

· Package to-go orders in appropriate containers (salads in clear containers, hot items in eco-friendly boxes, etc.).

· Ensure all orders are plated or boxed with clean, thoughtful presentation before leaving the kitchen window.

· Communicate with the barista/front staff if an item is delayed or out of stock.

Food Prep & Production

• Prepare daily items including:
• Quiche: Veggie & Bacon/Ham
• Chia pudding
• Overnight oats
• Grill chicken
• Chicken/tuna/chickpea salads
• Egg mix for French toast, Waffles and Montecristo
• Portion ingredients (jelly cups, silverware kits)
• Slice/chop fresh produce (onions, tomatoes, bell peppers)

Inventory & Restock

• Restock items such as:
• Grilled sliced chicken, bacon, ham, turkey.
• Dressings (mayo, mustard, pesto, ranch, sriracha, Italian, etc.)
• Oatmeal in the box, condiments (preserve, butter, syrup, brown sugar, cream cheese)
• Chips, tortillas
• Plastic and real silverware, spoons
• Inventory:
• Write inventory on low-stock items on the whiteboard or Trello board
• BenEkeith – send list on Monday and Thursday by 12 PM to the owners.
• Walmart – make a list daily
• Sam’s & Webstaurant – send list on Friday by 12 PM

Clean & Organize

• Clean and sanitize:
• Cutting boards
• Counters
• Grill and toast machine
• Waffle machine and microwave
• Floors
• Organize:
• Bread in freezer
• Inventory sections as directed

Opening/Prep Duties

• Defrost and prep bread
• Turn on grill, toast machine, and waffle machine
• Ensure equipment is plugged in and functioning before opening

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
