Instrumentation Supervisor

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical Engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant experience

OR

Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical Engineering with minimum 8 years of relevant experience

Job Purpose:

To supervise and manage all instrumentation-related activities on-site, ensuring that installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation systems are carried out efficiently, safely, and according to project specifications and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the installation, termination, and testing of all field instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters, and control valves.

Ensure all instrumentation work complies with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.

Review and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrument data sheets.

Coordinate and lead a team of technicians for execution of instrumentation works.

Supervise loop checking, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.

Liaise with other departments such as electrical, mechanical, and control systems to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation systems.

Conduct inspection and functional testing of instruments and systems.

Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and maintain records of calibration and test results.

Ensure all safety procedures are followed during execution of site activities.

Troubleshoot issues in instrumentation and control systems during installation and operation.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of process instrumentation and control systems.

Hands-on experience in calibration and maintenance of field instruments (pressure, flow, temperature, level, etc.).

Familiarity with DCS/PLC/SCADA systems and communication protocols.

Ability to read and understand technical documents such as P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Good communication and coordination skills.
