Description

• Develop and design innovative menus that reflect the restaurant’s concept and customer preferences.

• Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.

• Monitor portion sizes and consistency across dishes.

• Maintain the food recipe book updated.

• Monitor food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations.

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and timely food preparation.

• Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and high performance.

• Cross training of staff in order to make sure backup of staff available in case of any urgency.

• Manage inventory and order supplies as per forecasting needs to control food costs and wastage to maximize profitability.

• Manage kitchen budget, Track expenses and optimize resource use.

• Make sure the order supplies received are properly scaled and checked.

• Create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during peak times.

• Monitor kitchen equipment and arrange maintenance or replacement as needed.

• Work closely with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service.

• Handle & resolve customer complaints and guest feedback professionally.

• Formulate and Implement kitchen SOPs.

• Stay updated on culinary trends and integrate new techniques or ingredients.

 Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Proven experience in a professional kitchen (2–5 years minimum).

• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety.

• Leadership and team management skills.

• Creativity and passion for food.

 Work Environment

• Fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen settings.

• May involve long hours, weekends, and holidays.

• Requires standing for extended periods and handling hot equipment.
