Job Description
Ensuring the Contract is fulfilled in compliance with the terms and conditions of the Contract.
Handle breach of Contract in a timely manner.
Evaluates, assesses, & recommends payment applications of the Contractors and Consultants.
Coordinate any Legal issues with the Legal Department through the Contracts Manager.
Advice the Project Manager and Contracts Manager on any Contractual issues that may arise in the Project.
Notifying the Engineer of any potential claims due to design or construction drawings changes.
Monitoring and management of Bonds (i.e., Performance Bonds, Advance Payment Bonds & Tender Bonds, etc.) and Insurances (i.e., CARI, Workmen’s Compensation, Professional Indemnity Insurance, etc.)
Prepares Project Closeout Report and reviews and assesses Final Account.
Coordinate with the Construction Management Team regarding works progress on site, issues with non-conformance reports, technicalities of claims, & Project close-out deliverables.
Prepares and submits Monthly status reports for Payments, Change Orders/ Variation Claims.
Presides an ad-hoc meeting to discuss the Contractors’ and Consultants' Change Orders/ Variation Claims and record.
Evaluate and Assess Variation Claims through Interpretation of the Contract provisions to help resolve Claims and Variations.
Review Contractor correspondence and prepare a response regarding contractual issues, variation claims, variation orders, insurances, payments & invoices.
Providing commercial input for the Monthly Progress Report.
Participate in Weekly progress meetings whenever necessary.
Prepare a cost estimate for certain requirements of the Client.
Preparing and analyzing costs for tenders.
Evaluate and assessed Bid Tender and issue Tender reports.
Prepare Letter of Acceptance and Compile Contract Agreements.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost consultation within the building and construction industry
Proficiency in methods of measurement, codes of valuation, and bill of quantity works
Strong knowledge of quantities pricing software and drawing measurement software
Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards in Qatar
Experience with international construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC)
Excellent mathematical and financial analysis skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
