Senior Credit Officer

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Job Type: Full-time

Role Overview:
Responsible for monitoring accounts receivable and collections, ensuring adherence to company credit policies, and working with the sales team to recover overdue balances and prevent bad debts. The role includes recording all receipts in SAP accurately, reconciling customer and supplier accounts, monitoring cash flows, supporting VAT compliance, and assisting sales in timely order approvals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collections.

• Ensure adherence to company credit policies and highlight potential risks.

• Regular follow-ups with sales team to recover overdue balances and prevent bad debts.

• Record all receipts in SAP and ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Reconcile customer and supplier accounts regularly and resolve discrepancies.

• Monitor cash flows and provide weekly receivables/payables reports to management.

• Support VAT compliance by maintaining accurate records for sales, purchases, and credit notes.

• Handle Bill of Lading documents to ensure zero customer exposure.

• Collaborate with the sales team for timely approval of sales orders.

• Manage the division’s petty cash for administrative expenses.

• Prepare daily sales reports and other ad hoc reports for the Head Office.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (CMA is an advantage).

• 5–6 years of experience in credit control, preferably in electronics trading/wholesale.

• Strong understanding of receivables management and credit policies.

• Knowledge of SAP preferred.

• Ability to work under pressure in a trading environment.
