Job Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and efficient running of the Human Resources Department. He/she maintains INTERSOS HR management practices by implementing key HR policies and procedures for a high-performance culture. He/she also liaises with the National HR Coordinator in HQ for the
development of national staff policies, strategies and sharing of HR data. He/she is responsible for the effective supervision of the HR team for completion of their key tasks.
Responsibilities/duties:
Management of the HR Department
·Supervises and coaches the HR team for delivery of key tasks
Leads in developing HR team objectives and plans
Leads in HR team meetings and attends relevant external meetings
Staff Administration
·Ensures the overall accurate maintenance of employee files (national and international)
·Remains updated on staff contracts with any changes in salary and contract dates
·Ensures the annual leave, sickness and attendance records are up-to date
·Ensures the monthly update of the IMP HQ database system with HR statistics
Compensation and Benefits
·Ensures the alignment of staff salaries with salary scale and participates in salary surveys, as required
·Manages the monthly payroll process for bank transfer with social insurance and income tax payments with follow-up in government departments for Aden and Sana’a
·Prepares the monthly staff file to be uploaded in PN
Recruitment and Onboarding
·Ensures ToR’s are filed and aligned to standard INTERSOS formats
·Guides the HR team to ensure best practice and the efficient running of the recruitment process
·Oversees the tracking of recruitment records and status updates
·Oversees the administration for new starters
·Ensures efficient onboarding of new staff
Training & Development
·Oversees national staff performance management process with status update to Head of Mission at mid-term and annual intervals
·Provides guidance to managers on the application of the INTERSOS evaluation process
·Follows up on local and overseas training opportunities providing support to managers/staff when required
·Ensures maintenance of employee training records
·Ensures the quarterly presentation of the Internal Guidelines to all field offices Employee Relations
·Partner with management to advise on employee relations cases e.g. disciplinary, performance issues, long term sick leave
·Consults with INTERSOS legal representative for due process in Yemeni Labor Law
·Issues and files required written letters regarding specific employee relations cases
·Participates in investigations when either management or employee concerns are brought forward
·Assists with INTERSOS culture via employee communication and feedback through such avenues as staff meetings, employee satisfaction surveys, INTERSOS intranet.
Policy and Procedure
·Ensures INTERSOS HR practices comply with Yemeni Labor Law
·Implements key procedures, tools and policies to align the workforce with the strategic goals of INTERSOS activities
General
·Any other task required for the smooth running of the HR department
·Protects the interests of employees and INTERSOS at all times, in accordance with internal policies and Yemeni Labor Law

The HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT works under the supervision of HR OFFICER and is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient HR management. The key responsibilities and duties are established per department organogram and linked to a clearly established overview of segregation of duties within the admin-fin and HR department.
