Job Required: BIM Coordinator (Architectural Background)

Job description

• Full-time position with a two-year contract.

• Responsible for managing and coordinating Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in project delivery.

• Work closely with project teams, consultants, and clients to implement BIM standards, manage models, resolve conflicts, and support design and construction documentation.

Main responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage BIM models for architectural, structural, and MEP systems.

• Ensure compliance with company and project BIM standards.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to solve design and coordination problems.

• Conduct conflict detection and manage coordination reports.

• Maintain model accuracy and data integrity throughout the project.

• Assist in preparing design documents, drawings and tables extracted from BIM models.

• Provide technical support and training to team members on BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks, etc.).

• Participate in project coordination meetings with relevant stakeholders.

• Support BIM implementation, model reviews, and quality checks.

• Keeping up with the latest developments, technologies, and best practices in the BIM industry.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (mandatory).

• Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator or similar role in architectural/engineering projects.

• Strong knowledge of Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD; experience with BIM 360 / ACC is a plus.

• Familiarity with coordinating multidisciplinary projects (architectural, structural, MEP).

• Knowledge of BIM standards such as ISO 19650, AIA, Ashghal or other international guidelines.

• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred experience

• 3-6 years of professional experience in BIM coordination.

• Experience in large construction or infrastructure projects.

• Experience in conflict detection, model reviews, and LOD criteria.

• Ability to lead and mentor BIM technicians/modelers.

Requirements

• A valid Qatari ID card (transferable) is mandatory.

• Ability to join immediately or within a short period.

• Commitment to a two-year contract.
