Job Title: Project Operations Manager

Location: Muscat, Al Wadi Al Kabir – Oman
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Operations / Project Management

Role Summary

Lead local management of all project execution activities, ensuring compliance with company procedures, cybersecurity regulations, contract specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements, financial objectives, and schedules. Develop teams and implement standardized processes to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvements for project execution strategy under global leadership guidance.

  • Ensure consistent portfolio management according to ABB best practices, policies, and contractual requirements.

  • Oversee local project execution teams, ensuring adherence to ABB policies, HSE, and compliance.

  • Monitor project financials, risks, invoicing, and resource utilization to meet objectives.

  • Support troubled projects with recovery plans and corrective actions.

  • Develop project execution capabilities through team structuring, coaching, and certification.

  • Support Sales and Tendering teams in early-stage tenders and operational planning.

  • Promote HSE culture and ensure compliance with safety initiatives.

  • Lead high-performing teams with mentoring, feedback, and development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in portfolio strategy, governance, stakeholder management, project finance, and cost in automation/electrification.

  • Minimum 5 years project management experience with focus on scope, change, schedule, risk, and quality management.

  • 3–5 years experience in leading teams and resource management.

  • Experience in procurement, HSE, and contract management.

  • Skilled in integration processes and aligning project phases with stakeholders and contracts.

  • Passion for governance, performance, organizational change, and continuous improvement.
