Job Description

The Registrar is responsible for collaborating with the HBMSU community and Learning Division to manage student enrolment and academic progression. The role ensures a unique learner experience by providing necessary services and support throughout the learning journey.

Main Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop, monitor, and review annual effectiveness plans, financial budgets, and manpower planning to meet the objectives of the Registrar Office according to approved KPIs.

  • Review current practices and develop new methods to reduce costs, promote growth, and improve efficiency.

  • Perform managerial duties including hiring, assignment review, performance management, salary recommendations, and staff development.

  • Establish daily business practices utilizing advanced technology to enhance customer service.

  • Prepare statistical reports on educational activities for governmental and educational agencies, interpreting registration policies for faculty and students.

  • Manage the Registration Office, ensure accurate academic records, and prepare the Academic Calendar.

  • Oversee Financial Aid and Scholarship applications, ensuring fair evaluation according to HBMSU regulations.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely admission of new applicants following the 4Cs model.

  • Monitor implementation of academic rules related to enrolment and graduation requirements under the 4Cs model.

  • Ensure effective implementation of Information Security Management System, assess information assets, and maintain data confidentiality.

  • Adhere to internal and local information security, health, and safety laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 7 years professional experience in a related field/position.

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s in Education, Business, TQM, or MIS from an accredited university.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies.

  • Thorough knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education policies and procedures.

  • Ability to plan and implement short- and long-term goals.

  • Knowledge of planning, scheduling, and customer service standards.

  • Skill in re-engineering operations, policy formulation, and implementing new strategies and procedures.
