Job advert – Project Accountant

Project Duration : 12: 14 Months 

The Association for the Development & Enhancement of Women (ADEW) in collaboration with the British Embassy in Cairo to implement the Preventing & Combating Gender Based Violence (GBV) project in rural and urban marginalized communities seeks to recruit highly-skilled experienced and motivated qualified individual(s) to fill the following position:

Title: Project Accountant based in Cairo (with possible travel within Egypt)

Education &Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting / Business Administration or relevant degree. 

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in financial management or accounting on similar projects with NGO experience.  Work experience with Donors is a plus. 

Skills and Competencies

The Project Accountant should possess:

1. Ability to work with minimal supervision with strong organizational skills; 

2. Report writing and oral communication skills;

3. Proficiency in English is a plus; 

4. Must be results-oriented, a team player, exhibiting high levels integrity; 

5. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and professional skills;

6. Attention to detail skills and ability to handle multi tasks;

7. Competencies with MS Office and other professional software are a plus.
