1. Senior IT Analyst - Governance & Compliance

Job Purpose:

The role holder's primary responsibility is to manage, control and improve the Information Technology Governance, Compliance aspects of the processes and technology in a manner that meets with the Company-wide compliance and regulatory requirements.

The role holder will help identify and operationalize the Governance, Compliance initiatives and standards that need to be applied (or identify applicable best practices to implement) to the operating environment. Also responsible for coordinating audits impacting the IT Department.

Key functional areas of the role include initiatives like:

Support aligning IT strategy with business strategy,

Create and implement proper governance model,

Coordinating and governing the organization’s client and data/information in accordance with ethical, legal and contractual requirements,

Coordinating IT audits within the organization.

Principle duties and responsibilities:

Work out and implement the structure (framework) to ensure that IT investments support business objectives by applying international standards (i.e., COBIT, ITIL).

Ensure that the IT processes are aligned with the internal and external regulations, policies and rules, ongoingly maintain them.

Support IT leaders in client-facing engagements and act as an IT Ambassador in Governance & Compliance initiatives.

Develop, maintain, evaluate, and implement policies and procedures in line with Company, IT and relevant regulatory bodies.

Support and ensure IT services are well aligning with records and information management guidelines.

Participate in internal and external client audits as it relates to IT governance and compliance.

Coordinating internal and external audits related to IT operation, coordinating remediation actions within IT.

Work with other IT personnel to ensure awareness and alignment of ongoing client, industry and best practice compliance obligations.

Serve as liaison to, and foster good working relationships with, attorneys and others needing assistance with information governance issues.

Provide awareness and share the updated understanding of information management and governance.

Support the organization to obtain and maintain existing and future accreditations in accordance with applicable regulations, client requirements and industry best-practices.

Ensure that the IT systems are in line with relevant compliance, legal and ethical obligations that organisations should have.

Assist in monitoring the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budget to ensure any variances detected are rectified.

Coordinate and control the annual IT budget planning process.

Monitor and report the IT budget through the year.

Ensure own practices and behaviours are aligned with the Company’s vision, values, standards and procedures.

Support the development of Qataris and assist qualified Qatari nationals to occupy potential vacancies to adhere to stipulated Qatarization targets. 

Participate in the on-the-job training of trainees and newly hired personnel within the Group to ensure that they develop the necessary skills to independently carry out assigned activities.

Comply with all relevant procedures of the Company’s Integrated Management System comprising of Occupational Health & Safety, Quality, Environment, Responsible Care, IFA Product Stewardship & Energy Management System.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Business management / Financial management or relevant discipline.

A minimum of 10 years direct and relevant experience in the similar role within the large organization.

2. Head of Implementation & Innovation (Digitalization) 

Job Purpose:

The role holder will be at the forefront of innovation, responsible for driving the entire lifecycle of digital initiatives, from conception to realization. The role holder will collaborate closely with key stakeholders across the business to understand the intricacies of operational challenges. Primary focus will be on identifying emerging technologies and cutting-edge processes and orchestrating their seamless integration into our business operations.

The role holder will serve as the linchpin between conceptualizing transformative ideas and executing practical solutions. The objective is not only to keep a vigilant eye on the technological landscape but also to align these advancements with the organizational goals. The key contribution is on the development and implementation of innovative strategies that drive our digital transformation agenda forward.

This position demands a visionary mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As the Head of the Digital Implementation and Innovation Section, the role holder will be instrumental in shaping and executing our digital strategy, ensuring that each digital engagement is finely tuned to meet our business objectives. 

Key Accountabilities:

Ensure to interpret the digital strategy and to identify innovative solutions supporting strategy implementation.

Leverage digitization inputs from across QAFCO (as part of ideation) and strategize potential initiatives.

Manage and evaluate portfolio/pipeline of innovative ideas collected from across the company.

Work closely with relevant business stakeholders to understand the operational challenges or threats.

Identify/ develop a potential high-level solution for the business challenge or threat and prioritize the initiatives.

Support implementation of innovation events bringing relevant QAFCO stakeholders and external experts and partners together to share examples of excellence and innovative ideas (PoC/ MVP/ Implementation at scale).

Lead one or more teams to build & implement digital products by working closely with business & external partners.

Develop the project plan for each engagement, track, monitor, and report the implementation progress across the initiatives.

Monitor the implementation of the digital strategy and roadmap, while ensuring its integration with the enterprise strategic planning process, and the resulting business strategy and plans in addition to close alignment with the Information Technology and Cybersecurity.

Identify risks, issues, and challenges for the initiatives and identify the mitigation measures and seek decisions from the governing committee as and when required.

Enhance the implementation experience for the business stakeholders through continuous improvement measures.

Lead the ideation program to identify digital opportunities that will solve business problems by working with business divisions’ users and IT to understand business challenges and needs while ensures their active participation on the program following design thinking methodology.

Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity to guarantee employee safety, compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline.

Minimum of 10 years direct and relevant experience. 

Certifications in project management professional (PMP) or design thinking would be added as an advantage.

3. Senior IT Systems Engineer (Data Center & Cloud Operations)

Job Purpose:

Role holder at this level is responsible for the effective design, delivery, and operations of a resilient hybrid cloud computing environment. Needs to be proficient in proactively anticipating, planning, and implementing IT solutions and initiatives which enable business value. The candidate should have relevant experience working with network, storage, and database teams to implement application infrastructure in virtualized environments. Also, experienced in supporting datacenter operational task and maintenance activities.

Key Accountabilities:

Oversee the migration and implementation of cloud workflows, maintenance activities and reporting functions. 

Plan and develop roadmaps to advance the migration of on-premises system/applications to the cloud.

Manage deployment of virtual machines in the cloud, configure VMs for optimum performance and security. Also put in place a recovery plan when a virtual machine fails and leverage log analytics to gain operational insights.

Conduct regular performance capacity evaluations for hosted applications, ensure new workloads are evenly distributed in the virtual environment. 

Upgrade VMware Tools to the latest compatible version to improve fault tolerance and enhance the management of virtual resources in Production, Development and DMZ environments, respectively. 

Liaise with relevant IT sections to streamline infrastructure maintenance tasks activities, virtual machine deployment and decrease the average ticket response time. 

Provide installation, support, and administration of both physical and virtualized (Windows and non-Windows) server environments with VMware to ensure high availability and optimum performance.

Maintain a working knowledge of Windows Server OS, Red-Hat Linux OS, Storage Area Networks, Server Virtualization, Office 365, Directory Services, Backup Technologies, and PowerShell Scripting to support essential QAFCO applications.

Implementation of enterprise class monitoring tool that tracks the health and utilization of all system resources in the cloud and on-premises environments, respectively.

Perform monitoring and analysis of server and storage components for multiple operating systems. Subsequently provide recommendations to ensure integrity and availability of server resources.

Perform advanced problem identification and resolution, performance monitoring and capacity planning functions.

Create and maintain a comprehensive inventory of virtual and physical hardware, software, and services.

Proactively support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in conjunction with business priorities and strategies.

Recommend, schedule, and implement software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and refresh to support current OLAs.

Perform disaster recovery tests using documented walkthrough testing procedures for specified business applications to identify inconsistencies and process gaps. 

Troubleshoot and contribute knowledgebase material to the service desk ticketing system to increase efficiency.

Identify areas for process and efficiency improvement within datacenter operations including refresh of current hardware equipment and monitoring tools. 

Ensure all applications hosted in the datacenter and cloud are maintained in accordance with license agreements and regulatory requirements. 

Develop and maintain relevant system level documentation and ensure all technical documentation are current.

Ensure all necessary datacenter operational processes and procedures are carried out with a high level of attention to detail, expediency, and on-time delivery.

Support the development of Qataris and assist qualified Qatari nationals to ensure that they develop the necessary skills to independently carry out assigned activities.

Desired Candidate Profile:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or relevant discipline.

A minimum of 15 years of experience working in the Information Technology domain with at least 10 years direct and proven experience in a similar role within a large organization.
