Required jobs in Wood Petroleum company and their details:

1. Lead Civil Structural Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of engineers, designers and delivering the civil, structural design calculations & drawings within stipulated time by providing the proper guidance & technical support
  • Develop Structural design from the Conceptual Stage through the Detailed Design Stage providing sustainable and efficient solutions
  • Provided guidance/instruction to engineers for various secondary/miscellaneous calculation and designers for detailing/drawing
  • Preparation of specifications for design basis report, soil investigation in line with client requirements
  • Cross functional teamwork for optimizing the layouts & general arrangement of structures, vendor drawings / foundation loads of the structures and for resolving the interference issues
  • Engineering co-ordination with other departments, projects team & site team for inputs or comments on civil & structural drawings prior to submission to client for approval
  • Technical discussions with Sub Contractor consultants for review & approve the drawing and design calculations
  • Hands on experience in industry software 3D Model Review Tools (SPR & Navis Works), MS Office Suite, etc.
  • Review of geotechnical report and interpretation of soil parameters for the analysis and design of shallow, pile foundations
  • Participation in the project co-ordination meetings with the site, vendors, review consultants and client to resolve the technical issues. Prioritizing the engineering activities to meet project schedule
  • Evaluate supplier/subcontractor bids for compliance to Client specifications and scopes of work
  • Site visits to resolve the construction problems and site mismatches with respect to drawings issued for construction
  • Providing pre- bid engineering support by calculating the architectural, civil & structural BOQ’s
  • Preparation of standard spread sheets, auditing & approving the standard design programs/ templates related to civil & structural engineering

2. Principal Pipeline Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise a team of relevant discipline engineers and designers
  • Responsible for providing expertise and ensures the application of correct standards in all preFEED/FEED / EPC deliverables in the design and development of projects associated with Oil and Gas processing, production and export, as well as carbon capture processing, transportation and storage
  • Supervise the work of relevant discipline Engineers and Superintendents and ensure that quality and standards are maintained, and cost-effective solutions are adopted
  • Fully understands the COMPANY HSE policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility
  • Ensures that work under his/her control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner
  • Review any design work carried out by third parties (vendors) and participate,HAZOP, HAZID, IPF, reliability studies, and Safety and Facilities Technical Audits
  • Establish the actual (as opposed to design) capacities / capabilities of existing field facilities and pipelines to identify potential bottlenecks and scope for optimization
  • Identify potential applications for new technology
  • Develop actively the local staff to fulfill engineers and role
  • Know the environmental aspects (ISO14001) of oil and gas projects design
  • Know the safety aspects of design in relation to the project cycle (e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, HAZAN, IPF classification methodology and implementation, QRA, reliability studies, Fire and Gas mapping and risk analysis techniques)
  • Conduct life cycle cost analysis
  • Prepare RFQ (request for quotation) technical packages for pipelines related scopes
  • Prepare engineering, construction and material estimation, schedule, resource planning and update resource capacity planning half-yearly
  • Provide first class engineering in one or more of the following fields; risers, subsea pipelines, landfalls, subsea manifolds, piping design and onshore / subsea pipeline
  • Be familiar with working with construction engineers and installation schemes

3. Senior Mechanical Engineer - Static

Responsibilities:

  • To prepare and / review major equipment enquiry specifications, reviewing and analyzing vendor bids, preparation of technical bid evaluation, Reviewing of Vendor documents and co - ordination with various other disciplines for data inputs
  • To provide technical assistance, coordination, and liaison with other discipline engineers on all aspects of Engineering / technical matters and audits
  • To participate in all Design reviews, HSE workshops and Constructability reviews, as necessary
  • Active participation in Bid clarification and Vendor kick - off meetings, through the course of the projects
  • To review and approve sub - contractor’s work and ensure compliance with the contract, project specification, relevant codes and standards and best practices
  • To ensure that all work is completed with quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
  • To co - ordinate with equipment vendors, to trouble shoots the issues related to design, manufacturing, maintenance, installation
  • To liaise with the client’s engineering team as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion
  • To prepare Engineering Reports on project activities / methods
  • To ensure that the overall project is delivered to meet the client needs
  • To provide direction and guidance on all technical queries relating to equipment engineering
  • To provide sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline
  • To assist in the coordination of all activities related to major mechanical equipment
  • To identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and / or quality and recommend corrective actions as required
  • Supervision of Graduate Engineers and provide input to the performance management of direct reports
  • Develops, review, and approve project and proposal estimates and schedules by referencing the project scope of work and discussing the estimates and schedules within the team and those of other disciplines

4. Senior Cost Controller

Responsibilities:

  • Supports in the management of project budgets, actual and forecast costs, and the preparation and filing of project cost documentation
  • May act as the focal point for several project scopes
  • Responsible for identifying areas of best practise and driving continuous improvement 
  • Review and maintain Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS)
  • Liaise with other Project Controls disciplines and functions, assist and support in the development of project budgets in accordance with the Basis of Estimate including statements of work scope, assumptions, man-hour estimates, narratives, and review & comment of client documents
  • Liaise with Planning discipline to ensure accurate and timely control and forecasting of budgets and ensure that the impact of all change requests is properly assessed and included in the schedules
  • Liaise with procurement, finance, and time-capture functions, and third parties as required, to ensure accurate and timely capture of procurement, materials, subcontract and labour manhour costs. Ensure costs are allocated accurately in accordance with approved project WBS
  • Liaise with engineering, procurement and construction functions, and others as required, to maintain awareness of project activities and their impact on the project budget, schedule, and cost forecast.
  • Manage the project / assignment work approval process in terms of accurate cost code allocation and initial budget set-up and approvals
  • Review and maintain project cost budgets using appropriate software applications
  • Monitor and control cost commitments and expenditures through all phases of project lifecycle
  • Liaise with project management, project planning, and others as required to ensure accuracy in project cost phasing and forecasting.
  • Provide copies of project cost performance reports in accordance with project reporting requirements
  • Review and issue updates to project cost forecasts
  • Monitor and report on cost impact of project manpower forecasts
  • Coordinate development, review, and issue of project change orders / variations in accordance with engineering and construction change notifications
  • Assess, review, and communicate cost and schedule impact of change notifications.

5. Senior Loss Prevention Engineer

Responsibilities:
