Overview of the role:
The Logistics Manager is responsible to provide the direction, leadership and support needed to ensure the project’s timely success.
Job Context:
Logistics manager role is the backbone to the Projects, working across all disciplines to provide full support and guidance and back-up at all times. In addition, t racking Expenses, Staffing, Quality Management, Managing Processes, Organization, Coaching, Communication Processes and Promoting Process Improvement
What you will do:
Planning:
Establish Logistics managmenet processes, procedures, and work schedules to support the projects as overall strategy.
Understand organizational policies and procedures to ensure appropriate decision-making protocols are followed to support the projects in achieving business objectives.
Coordinate/ discussing the progress of the various logistics elements for the projects
Coordinate/interfacing between Lead Consultant, Project Managers, Developers and Contractors
Coorinate with inter-company departments to facilitate good working relationships and maintain continuity by regular and continuing communication/contact
Developing equipment strategies and the implementation thereof
Manage multiple tasks and special projects by planning and organising, coordinating information and requirements, meeting priorities/deadlines and monitoring results.
Coordinate and liaise with internal and external parties, Businesses, Procurement Department and Service Providers with regards to all required aspects of project management
Provide day-to-day supervision, prioritisation and workload management
Ensure that team members fully comply in a timely manner with all project time keeping, timesheet recording and exceptional reporting requirements
Project Execution Plan (PEP):
Develop the Logistics specific PEP Logistics Management and ensure full coverage of the contracted Scope of Works in terms of deliverables, acceptance criteria, reporting and escalation protocols, and collaborative best working practices
Lead the implementation of the Logistics specific sections of the PEP both up and down the supply chain
Update and revise the Logistics plan, as required from time-to-time to mitigate project delivery risks and resolve any specific issues
Establish Logistics related Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for inclusion in regular management reports
Provide Logistics related sections of regular weekly, monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly reports
Responsibilities
Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and Camps/accommodations
Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
Liaise and negotiate with customers, clients, suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers
Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
Arrange equioments, vehicles, site setups, plan routes and process shipments
Resolve any arising problems or complaints
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements

Sound knowledge of logistcis practices; Strong organisational skills; Dynamic; well organized, flexible and able to support cross-functional coordination in a fast paced environment and possess excellent judgement. Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
Diploma holder or suitable experience gained in a similar role
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 5 to 7 years work experience
- Experience in Logistics role preferred
- UAE/GCC experience preferred, not essential
