Full job description

Extruder / Thermoformer Operator

Essential Functions:
  • Setting up, operating or tending machines that extrude or draw thermoplastic materials into pipes, rods, hoses, wires, bars or structural shapes.
  • Procedures by reading and interpreting specifications.
  • Regulating machines to maintain the proper temperature, speed and feed rates.
  • Inspecting and measuring finished product to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Documenting and reporting any issues or deviations in the production process.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Operate and trouble shoot plastics extrusion equipment.
  • Monitor and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance.
  • Perform quality checks and measurements to ensure product meets specifications
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
  • Strong communication skill
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume production environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Employee will regularly be required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, frequently required to climb stairs.
  • Bending, twisting, up and down steps, kneeling, stooping.
  • Prolonged periods of time standing / walking on concrete.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
  • Pushing, pulling skids with pallet jack.
