Junior Accountant | Mamzar Centre, Dubai, UAE

Company: Essa Real Estate Company

Role Overview

The Junior Accountant will assist with day-to-day accounting operations including financial transactions, accounts receivable and payable, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Transactions

  • Record and post all receipts, payments, and journal entries

  • Maintain cash book and petty cash transactions accurately

Cheque & Banking Management

  • Prepare, record, and deposit post-dated and current-dated cheques

  • Track cheque clearances, returns, and update records

  • Coordinate with banks for deposits, withdrawals, and queries

  • Maintain proper filing of issued and received cheques

Accounts Receivable & Payable

  • Assist in maintaining tenant/customer receivable accounts and follow up on pending payments

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments

  • Prepare receivable and payable reports for management

Reconciliations

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations

  • Reconcile cash, cheque, and bank transactions

Financial Support & Reporting

  • Assist in preparing financial reports and statements

  • Support senior accountant during month-end and year-end closing

Qualifications & Skills

  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (real estate experience preferred)

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software

  • Good understanding of cheque handling and bank processes

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
