Dean of College of Business Administration

Location: Khorfakkan, Sharjah, UAE
Job Type: Full-time

Role Overview:
The Dean of Business Administration is a senior academic position responsible for leading academic activities within the college and across the university. The Dean oversees all academic aspects, reports to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, and manages all teaching, training, and research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a strong network outside the College to facilitate education, training, and research activities.

  • Establish strategic directives, goals, and policies for education and research, and oversee their implementation.

  • Nurture interdisciplinary relationships between college programs and other university programs.

  • Represent the University in conferences and symposiums related to the College.

  • Recommend and analyze the College’s annual budget and evaluate productivity and effectiveness.

  • Create a network of experts and visiting professors to support educational and research activities.

  • Contribute to the development of University policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate agreements with ministries and relevant bodies within UAE and abroad.

  • Possess knowledge of human resources, management concepts, and higher education practices.

  • Propose research projects relevant to the region’s development.

  • Work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years managerial experience at departmental or college levels in a university.

  • Skills to launch pioneering projects.

  • Multi-cultural experience.

  • Active participation in reputable organizations.

  • Knowledge of evaluation methods and modern teaching practices, including technology use.

  • Commitment to enriching student educational experience.
