We are urgently hiring an experienced Accountant to manage daily accounting operations across multiple F&B outlets. The candidate must have strong knowledge of Tally / Odoo software, inventory management, and VAT filing procedures.
The role involves maintaining accurate books, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring full compliance with Omani accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Reporting
Maintain daily accounting entries for all company outlets.
Prepare and finalize monthly P&L statements and balance sheets.
Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and petty cash.
Maintain ledgers, journals, and accurate documentation for all transactions.
Submit daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports to management.
2. Inventory & Store Audit
Conduct monthly physical inventory audits of kitchen, store, and bar items.
Match stock records with system data and report variances.
Monitor cost of goods sold (COGS), wastage, and yield reports.
Ensure all GRNs (Goods Received Notes) and supplier invoices are properly recorded.
3. Vendor & Payment Management
Manage supplier payments and credit cycles.
Verify quotations, LPOs, and purchase invoices before posting.
Coordinate with Operations Manager and General Manager for payment approvals.
Maintain and update vendor database with contact, payment terms, and invoice status.
4. Compliance & Taxation
Handle VAT filing and maintain proper records for audits.
Ensure compliance with Omani tax laws and statutory requirements.
Liaise with external auditors and authorities when required.
5. Financial Control
Maintain petty cash control, approve expense vouchers, and reconcile cash daily.
Support management in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial planning.
Ensure strict internal controls and confidentiality of financial data.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance.
Minimum 3–5 years accounting experience (F&B or hospitality preferred).
Proficient in Tally ERP / Odoo and Microsoft Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc. ).
Knowledge of Oman VAT filing procedure is mandatory.
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management.
Indian nationality preferred (North Indian states like UP, Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat).
Must be currently in Oman or on visit visa and available to join immediately.
