Full job description

Mercy Ridge is looking to hire a Resident Assistant on a part time basis to work every other weekend from 6am to 2pm for our Assisted Living Program. This position is a non-exempt position and does require a Geriatric Nursing License (GNA). Under the direct supervision of the Resident Care Manager/Delegating Nurse Manager and/or Administrator of Assisted Living, the incumbent is responsible for providing direct care to residents to enhance the lives of each resident in the Assisted Living environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Performs direct and indirect care to resident to include activities of daily living: Bathing, feeding, toileting, performing grooming activities, oral hygiene, cleaning all body areas as needed and denture care.
  • Monitors and assists as appropriate in dining room during meal times.
  • Ensures that the residents laundry is clean and maintained.
  • Light housekeeping duties in residents rooms.
  • Transferring and positioning residents in chairs, beds, wheelchairs, turning and changing position of residents, and lifting resident with assistance.
  • Performing active range of motion with the Residents.
  • Making occupied and unoccupied beds .
  • Weighing residents, taking vital signs, practicing universal precautions.
  • Documents care in electronic medical record.
