Key Accountabilities
Conduct design reviews, integration recommendations, and ensure that all projects (IT & Telecom) comply with Omantel's cyber security requirements.
Identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions to protect Omantel's technological infrastructure.
Ensure that IT and telecommunication technologies are implemented securely, aligning with industry best practices and international standards such as ISO 27001, ISO 27701, PCI-DSS, GDPR, and NIST.
Track and report on the performance of implemented security measures.
Perform regular risk assessments, implement appropriate controls to mitigate identified risks, and ensure that the organization’s risk appetite remains moderate and below.
Assists the development and execution of security strategies, policies, and procedures, enhancing Omantel's overall security posture.

Key Accountabilities
Thoroughly assess Omantel network prerequisites, performance criteria, and long-term growth trajectories to determine the most suitable technological solutions.
Plan and design the transmission solution and end-to-end connectivity for rollout sites (5G, LTE, new greenfield, USO, Adhoc), Corporate and Fixed services either through MW, PMP, Unlicensed MW, Fiber or VSAT.
Strategizes wireless transport technology considering advancements in transport technology evolution tailoring the network roadmap to align with the current network topology and capabilities.
Design microwaves backhaul networks for efficient aggregation and transport of traffic from access points to core networks.
Perform link budget calculations to ascertain the necessary transmit power, receive sensitivity, and antenna gains for optimal signal quality and coverage.
Conduct path profiling studies to account for terrain variations, Fresnel zone clearance, and atmospheric effects on microwave propagation.
Strategically allocate frequency bands to optimize spectrum utilization while minimizing interference.
Undertake meticulous capacity planning utilizing predictive analytics to anticipate traffic demands and accommodate burst patterns to deploy SDB, MBB, HRLB, E-bands, diversity schemes, XPIC, MIMO, and passive repeater which greatly benefit Omantel's high-capacity requirements.
Capacity Planning and Management of the Access Transport Network to ensure that transmission capacity is sufficient for network and BU forecasts and from received capacity requests, and Design and Implementation of the Capacity Change solution based on the analysis of Network performance and utilization report.
