    1. Counsellor

    This position requires a general understanding of cultural differences and will require a strong appreciation and respect of other cultures. It is essential that the post-holder can work independently and make decisions in an emotionally charged environment, about the appropriate provision of psychological care. These responsibilities are not exhaustive and should be reviewed in line with a code of professional conduct and latest developments within their profession.

    Key Responsibilities of the Position:

    • Write the Clinical Supervision Framework for counsellors working within HMC 
    • Facilitate staff counselling on an individual basis or as a group debrief session 
    • Act as a Mentor for other counsellors or nursing staff within the clinical supervision framework 
    • Facilitate and guide clinical supervisors and counsellors ensuring professional guidelines are met 
    • Participate in group work, accept without bias the issues raised and support debriefing sessions for staff 
    • Training on basic counselling skills and provide specialist input as part of an education program. 
    • Establish good working relationships with other members of the multi-professional team and with other health, psychological and psychiatric services in order to ensure the best quality of services for clients including the Volunteer Services when introduced. 
    • Identify when it is appropriate to refer to other agencies for support or specialist counselling 
    • Be a resource, and support to staff and volunteers who provide psychological support within the Corporation 
    • Establish a relationship of trust and respect with clients working within their code of practice, to enable and promote collaborative working 
    • Encourage clients to discuss issues they feel they cannot share normally with others, this may range from other team members to patients and their families / carers. 
    • Promote understanding, within the multi-professional team, of the psychological needs of patients and their families.
    • Respect the psychological needs and resources of staff with palliative care needs and their families. 
    • Maintain their professional registration and ensure they are up to date with their own professional development 
    • Take responsibility for the recruitment, induction and development of all placements and volunteers. In particular ensuring appropriate levels of counselling personnel according to the organization’s business plan. 
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    2. Endocrinology Specialist - Physician

    The purpose of this role is to works in a team setting and is accountable to the Consultant, Section Head and/or Department Chair. The Specialist acts under the guidance of the Consultant in the provision of clinical service and supports the Consultant in their duties. The specialist participates in the management of patients to the extent of his/her delineation of privileges. • Research is a key and integral component to the Corporation’s Strategic aim to become an Academic Health System. The post holder must be able to contribute and support on delivering an integrated strategic vision and planning for Clinical, Research, Education and training which improves the quality of patient care

    Key Accountabilities

    • The specialist is responsible for organizing, monitoring and maintaining the services provided within the department in order to achieve the highest possible level of patient care with optimum utilization of the available resources.
    • Adheres to policies, guidelines, plans and programs of Hamad Medical Corporation.
    • Performs all duties assigned to a specialist physician
    • Acquires SCH License to practice and maintains it while working for HMC.
    • Completes and maintains his set of clinical privileges.
    • Performs all relevant patient-care clinical interventions related to his/her field of specialization to the extent of his/her delineation of privileges.
    • Makes daily rounds for inpatients in the department and evaluates patient care-related activities as assigned by the consultant and/or chairperson of the department.
    • Provides care to old and new patients in the specialized clinics as assigned by the consultant, and presents new cases, when required, to the consultant
    • Performs on-call duties as assigned by his/her supervisors.
    • Provides guidance, counsel and consultation to other departments when requested.
    • Confers and discusses patient progress reports and any concerns related to management of patient with the consultant attending the patient. 2
    • Writes, completes and approves medical records and reports for patients, including but not limited to history and physical, progress notes, operative report, consultation note, transfer summary, discharge summary, death summary, etc.
    • Carries out practical training, academic responsibilities and scientific research as directed by the department head/chairperson.
    • Participates in health education programs through orientation and scientific presentations.
    • Assumes supervisory responsibility for the performance of his/her subordinates in the assigned department or service.
    • Performs other duties as assigned/directed by the Consultant/Section Head/Department Chair and approved by the Medical Director.
    • Ensure self and member of the Investigation Team are properly trained. Compile with the policies systems and processes in place that governs research.
    • Ensure patients are aware of their rights and responsibilities.

    3. Senior Data Specialist

    The purpose of this role is to review, critically appraise, and strategically analyze health care information that has been extracted from digital systems by data technicians and compiled by Data Specialist. This is to provide intelligence that enables evidence-based decision making. They will be required to present complex information from a variety of information sources (e.g. quantitative, qualitative, and epidemiological) to executive level staff in a way that conveys the results clearly and concisely. In order to do this, they must maintain a strategic perspective while working with detailed information. This will be through the analysis of trends, statistical reports, conversations and facilitation of discussions with key stakeholders and the application of a range of analytical techniques.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Provide intelligence through the collation, complex analysis and critical appraisal of health care information using proven analytical techniques.
    • Study and highlight the implications of trends in HMC activity taking account of applicable local; national and international practice.
    • Interprets findings, prepares standard and ad-hoc reports and delivers results to management and/or other leaders
    • Leads programs and supports analytical projects.
    • Oversees projects/programs and analyses large sets of data to extract actionable insights that will help drive decisions across the business.
    • Develop and implement procedures/policies for effective data management. 7. Make sure that data collection procedures are in line with all relevant rules and guidelines.
    • Develop and maintain a system-level picture of activity to support detailed analysis on specific focus areas.
    • Extend /modify analysis based on knowledge of the information and its limitations. 10. Overseeing the integration of new technologies and initiatives into data standards and structures.
    • Continually develop data management strategies.

    4. Project Coordinator

    Job Summary 

    The purpose of this role is to assists in the coordination and management of a range of assigned projects. Assist in managing assigned projects, prepare preliminary reports and ensure compliance to the project schedule and budget. This role also contributes to issue escalation and resolution, research and analysis, planning and monitoring activities.

    Key Accountabilities 

    • Support Program/Project Manager in creating and updating project plans, project metrics, compliance and financial reporting 
    • Coordinate and compile external and internal reports through collecting, analyzing and summarizing information from various projects 
    • Complete day-to-day operational tasks related to the projects with accuracy and as per required timelines 
    • Coordinates with project stakeholders on an on-going basis and provide regular updates 
    • Work closely with project team to ensure accurate and timely update of project data in Project Management System 
    • Facilitate effective communication within the project team as well as stakeholders to strengthen the coordination of project activities 
    • Liaise with partners, vendors and collaborators on the financial and technical obligation, invoice and payment processes 
    • Assist in routine processes and in establishing frameworks that ensure the quality execution of project management processes 
    • Record project timelines and milestones using appropriate project management tools 
    • Collate data on quality monitoring activities and participate in the evaluation activities to reduce variance 
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    5. Data Analyst

    Job Summary 

    The purpose of this role is to provide direct support to the assigned department in the performance of a wide variety of data analyzing and processes

    Key Accountabilities 

    • Performs data analysis in support of ad-hoc, standard, and project related requests.
    • Develops methodologies for analyzing and presenting data. 
    • Uses and support database applications and analytical tools to: evaluate data quality, applications, and functions, produce output, and maintain operation.
    • Researches new data sources, data analysis contribution to projects and provide input on improvements in data quality process & procedures. 
    • Supports and enhance processes around using data profiling, data quality, data mapping, and metadata tools to validate and uncover root cause data issues, maintain data dictionary, mapping rules and data lineage. 
    • Provides a repeatable set of processes for determining, investigating and resolving data quality issues and that establishes an on-going process for data quality maintenance 
    • Demonstrates knowledge of the interdependencies between system functionality and associated business processes in order to enhance data quality and metadata management processes. 
    • Ensures Quality standards & measurements are followed for according to HMC and JCI.
