2. School Counsellor (Maternity Cover)

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Level 4 qualification in Counselling (or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience providing counselling services to young people in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and mental health best practices.
  • Experience in working with external support services and signposting students appropriately.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to listen and advise in a non-judgemental and supportive manner.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a dynamic school environment.
  • A clear commitment to student welfare, inclusion, and achievement.
