1. Research Specialist Level 4
Working with little supervision from the Principal Investigator (PI), assists with study design, collection and statistical analysis of data, and interpretation and dissemination of results on various epidemiologic studies and analyses. May assist in or oversee tasks performed by less senior Lab staff. Assists and contributes in research planning, policies, and development activities procedures.
Job Responsibilities
- Assists with epidemiologic study design.
- Assists with study instruments and protocols.
- Performs sample size calculations and power analyses.
- Conducts systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses.
- Performs a variety of statistical analyses. Manipulates, computes, and analyzes data using statistical computer software and develops new analytical methods and testing procedures.
- Prepares and maintains detailed records, logs and summary reports of all data and statistical analysis charting.
- Prepares drafts of research plans for grant applications.
- Contributes to publishing research findings in scientific journals and supports presentations at medical/scientific meetings.
- Performs other job related duties as needed in relation to conduct of epidemiological research.
2. Postdoctoral Associate (Neuroscience and Metabolism)
Must Have
- Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience or related field
- Experience in in vitro (cell culture or brain slices) OR in vivo (any animal model) work
- Competency in data and statistical analysis
- Competency in experimental design
- A strong desire to learn new techniques
3. Research Data Specialist
Job Responsibilities
- Designs and executes large-scale genomic data analyses across multiple concurrent research projects, using expert judgment to align scientific goals with available resources and within given constraints.
- Develops, validates, and maintains advanced computational pipelines for high-throughput sequencing, population genetics, and comparative genomics, making informed decisions on tools, algorithms optimization, and scalability.
- Partners with principal investigators and multidisciplinary research teams to co-develop study designs, select appropriate statistical methods and define robust computational plans aligned with research aims.
- Interprets complex analytical outcomes within a biological framework and significantly contributes to developing manuscripts, presentations, and grant submissions.
- Recommends new bioinformatics tools, technologies, and infrastructure to enhance data integration, analysis efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
- Establishes coding and data management standards that promote reproducibility and analytical accuracy.
- Guides team members on the effective use of tools, methods and workflows.
- Serves as a representative of the lab cross-institutional collaborations, consortium meetings, and scientific forums, contributing domain expertise as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
