Job Description
Paris United Group is a leading retail and distribution organization in Qatar, recognized for operational excellence, strong financial discipline, and innovation across its retail network. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support our growing operations and ensure accurate financial performance across the company.
Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing complete accounting operations, financial reporting, retail inventory accounting, and cost control. The ideal candidate must have strong retail accounting experience and the ability to lead junior team members while maintaining high accuracy and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle accounting: AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Oversee inventory accounting, costing, and retail-related financial controls.
Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
Lead and mentor junior accounting staff to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Coordinate with auditors, management, vendors, and internal teams.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of retail accounting, inventory management, and cost controls.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and financial reporting skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with accuracy.
Advanced MS Excel and data analysis skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) – Mandatory.
Additional certifications (CMA, CA Inter, MBA Finance) are an advantage.
5–7 years of total accounting experience, including 4–5 years in retail (mandatory).
