Description


Electrical Draftsman – Telemetry Systems


Experience: 3–5 years


We are looking for skilled Electrical Draftsmen with experience in telemetry and industrial control systems to support electrical and communication design projects.


Key Responsibilities


• Prepare electrical schematics and layouts for telemetry systems (RTUs, PLCs, sensors, instrumentation)


• Draft drawings for electrical power, control, and communication networks


• Ensure compliance with IEC, NEC/NFPA, NEMA, and company drafting standards


• Maintain drawings, revisions, and as-built documentation


• Assist with Bills of Materials (BOM)


• Coordinate with engineers and field teams


• Perform drawing checks and resolve design discrepancies


Qualifications


• Associate’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Electrical Drafting (or equivalent experience)


• 3–5 years of CAD drafting experience in electrical/telemetry systems


• Experience with SCADA/DCS, PLCs, RTUs, and industrial instrumentation




• Industry experience in utilities, oil & gas, environmental monitoring, smart cities, or transportation is a plus


Technical Skills


• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar


• Ability to read electrical schematics, network diagrams, and P&IDs


• Familiarity with sensors, instrumentation wiring, and electrical standards


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office


Soft Skills


• Strong attention to detail


• Good problem-solving and communication skills


• Organized, adaptable, and team-oriented
