Location: Ideally based in Amman / possibility of remote working arrangements.

The UK-funded Security Partnership Programme is a flexible and adaptive facility that provides technical expertise and capacity building to Jordanian security partners to meet Jordan’s and the UK’s sharedchallenges. The programme aims to find innovative, locally owned solutions that can help security partners improve Jordan’s resilience and maintain Jordan’s stability.  


The Security Partnership Programme is delivered collaboratively with Jordanian security partners and specifically target areas in the intersection between Jordanian security partners’ asks and UK shared security objectives, in close coordination with international partners. The programme works closely with the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF), the Public Security Directorate (PSD) and the National Centre for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM). This list of Jordanian counterparts may be expanded over the lifetime of the programme.   


ASI is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Advisor to support the design and delivery of cybersecurity capacity-building efforts to government entities in Jordan. The exact scope of the work will be defined in collaboration with the successful candidate.     


Role Requirements  


  • +10 years of experience working in cybersecurity field in roles relating to cybersecurity policy and capacity building and/or technical delivery.   


  • +5 years of experience working in a government entity, in an area relating to cybersecurity, in Jordan or the wider Middle East.  


  • Excellent knowledge of the security sector landscape in Jordan with the ability to build relationship and draw on networks to gain access to key interlocutors and institutions.   


  • Ability to assess national cybersecurity capabilities, including governance structures, regulatory frameworks, and institutional mandates.
