    By State law, all positions that work with children require all three CHILD CLEARANCES be obtained prior to the first day of work. You should allow 4-6 weeks to obtain all clearances. If you work for at least one month, we will reimburse for the cost of the clearances ($60.25) that are obtained for you to work for us.     RECREATION SUPERVISOR- BASKETBALL (Part-Time)

    Reports To: Program Manager

    Gives Direction To: Youth Basketball Coaches, Referees and Volunteers


    NATURE OF WORK

    This technical support position provides support to the Program Manager for recreation activities. Assists the Program Manager with seasonal programs. Variable part-time hours with some flexibility.


    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Plan, coordinate and implement all aspects of the youth basketball programs.
    • Assist with monthly senior luncheons including set up, break down and clean up.
    • Assist with coordination of volunteer program. Includes maintaining a database and tracking clearances for all coaches.
    • Assist with special events as assigned.
    • Make up teams and assign coaches utilizing the registration software.
    • Generate weekly practice and game schedules.
    • Oversee the care, maintenance and inventory of basketball equipment and supplies.

    OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Performs all other work as assigned.

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

    • Clear understanding of recreational department activities and procedures.
