Assistant Sales Manager - Food Service

Location: Qatar

Job Type: Full-time

Industry: FMCG, Beverage Category

Experience: Minimum 5 years in GCC (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods), preferably beverage category

Education: Graduate

License: Qatar Driving License

Language Skills: Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic

Reporting to: Sales Manager

Responsibilities

Sales Target Achievement:

· Set and achieve sales targets for the assigned channels, with a focus on customer-wise targets.

· Introduce and promote company products to potential customers.

· Develop and implement strategies to create new customers and maintain relationships with existing ones.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

· Stay updated on competitor activities and market trends.

· Analyze current selling techniques and recommend improvements.

· Work closely with the Sales Manager to develop counterstrategies based on competitor activities.

Credit Control and Financial Responsibility:

· Responsible for completing the documentation for company credit approval in accordance with set guidelines.

· Collaborate with the credit control department to collect outstanding payments.

· Provide input for sales forecasts and profit and loss analysis for customers.

Customer Education and Service:

· Educate customers about storage conditions to maintain product quality.

· Address and respond to consumer complaints, ensuring timely feedback and resolution.

· Ensure a professional and excellent level of customer service with both existing and new customers.

Team Coordination and Training:

· Coordinate and monitor the day-to-day efforts of the sales team.

· Implement, monitor, and train subordinates on the company's established ISO standards.

Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination:

· Collaborate with the logistics department to ensure timely delivery of products.

· Ensure stock availability at customer and warehouse points.

Quality Assurance:

· Ensure products delivered to customers are in good condition, without damages or contaminations.

· Maintain accurate customer lists with updated contact details.

Qualifications:

· Graduate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG, preferably in the beverage category.

· Qatar driving license is mandatory.

· Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic.

Competencies:

· Commercially driven with a focus on achieving sales targets.

· Strong analytical skills and market understanding.

· Ability to educate and engage customers effectively.

· Proactive problem-solving approach.

· Leadership skills and the ability to coordinate and train a sales team.

· Knowledge of ISO standards and quality assurance practices.
