    Contract Details: Upon Award

    • Anticipated start date: If awarded, September 1, 2025. This is a multiple year opportunity.
    • Fixed schedule: Monday–Friday, up to 28 Saturdays/year, plus 1–2 “mission days” (extended service as needed)
    • Volume varies: Daily average is 23 boxed meals, with a maximum up to 100/day; final count confirmed by 8:00AM each service day
    • Estimated annual total: 6,100 boxed meals

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare all boxed lunches in a TN-licensed commercial kitchen (NO onsite assembly).
    • Deliver, set up, and serve boxed meals at MEPS (Memphis location) by 10:00AM - 1:00 PM.
    • Collect meal voucher signatures from applicants, return paperwork as instructed.
    • Clean serving area daily—remove trash/recyclables, leave site as found.
    • Ensure all staff can pass a background check for facility entry.
    • Provide prompt, reliable service that accommodates fluctuating daily meal counts.
    • Adhere to all security, and local health, and safety procedures.

    Qualifications

    • Valid Tennessee business/catering license for food preparation and delivery
    • Most recent health inspection report for facility (“A”/“B”/Pass within last 12 months)
    • Professional catering experience; ability to handle up to 100 boxed meals/day
    • All food handlers must wear gloves; staff must be reliable, punctual, and background-check eligible
    • Enclosed, clean, insured vehicles for transport
    • Adherence to all government, local, and contract requirements

    Boxed Meal Specifications

    Each boxed meal must include:

    • 6-inch sub sandwich (ham, turkey, roast beef, or vegetarian; minimum 4oz meat or 2oz cheese, fresh submarine bun)
    • Individually wrapped lettuce and tomato (provided separately)
    • Bag of plain chips (1oz or larger)
    • Pre-packaged cookie(s): 1 large (5″) or 2 medium (2.5″)
    • Medium apple (minimum 1/3 lb)
    • Straw and paper napkin
    • Condiments: Single-serve packets of mustard, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, vinaigrette (one each in every box)
    • Clearly marked packaging: Every box/bag labeled (ham, turkey, roast beef, veggie); packaging must protect contents

    Beverages (provided separately at serving):

    • Assorted regular and diet sodas (12oz+)
